Mung Bean Chicken Biryani

Ingredients


1. Chicken meat 1 kg

2. Polow rice 1/2 kg

3. Mung Bean(Green Gram) 250 grams

4. 1 cup onion sliced

5. 2 teaspoons of ginger paste

6 1 teaspoon of garlic paste

7. 1 teaspoon of coriander seeds

8. 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds

9. 1 teaspoon of chili powder

10. 1 teaspoon of black pepper powder

11. Shahi Jira Gura 1/2 teaspoon

12. Nutmeg Gura 1/2 teaspoon

13. Jayatri Gura 1/2 teaspoon

14. Cardamom 4 pieces

15. Cinnamon, 2 cm 2 pieces

16. Clove 4 pieces

17. Prunes are 6 pieces

18. Almond paste at 4 pieces

19. Almond paste 3 pieces

20 1/2 cup of oil

21. Salt depends on taste

22. Kewra water 2 teaspoons

23. 1 cup of sour yogurt

24. 3 cups of water

25. Raw pepper 5/6 pieces.

Steps to make Biryani


1. Frist Mung Bean(Green Gram) should be fried a little. Then Mung Bean and rice should be washed properly and soaked it together for 30 minutes.

2. Make small pieces of the Chicken and washed them properly. Mix a little salt and a little black pepper.

3. In a pan, fry the pieces of meat with oil for 1 minute. When the chicken is fried, add onions, and keep cooking for 30 seconds. Then add all the ingredients except Green Pepper, prunes, and kewra water, it should be seasoned with all other spices and sour Yogurt should be given at last. You have to cook for 30 minutes with less heat.

4. When the chicken is cooked, add rice and 3 cups of water to the chicken and cover the pan, increase the heat a little.

5. When the rice boils, reduce the heat to low. Add Green Pepper and Prunes and again put the cover for 15 minutes.

6. After 15 minutes, sprinkle Kewra water on the biryani and mix it properly. A little ghee(clarified butter) can also be given. After that the biryani should be kept for 5-6 minutes more.

7. At last, you can decorate with salat.
